Installing and upgrading drainage
During a renovation, the position of sanitary fittings needs to be considered alongside the condition of the pipes they will connect to. New connections, worn pipe sections and existing network repairs can be discussed together.
When repair or drain clearing is needed
- Water drains slowly from one or more fixtures.
- Pipes, traps or accessible connections leak.
- A damaged section of drainage pipe needs replacing.
- The position of sanitary fittings changes during a major renovation.
What to tell the plumber
Describe the problem and how long it has been happening, along with the location and building type. Photos of the connections help assess access. If you have used drain cleaning products, mention which ones.
The method and price are agreed after discussing the details or inspecting the site. After the work, drainage and accessible connections in the work area are checked.
